MAY- june

Let’s talk about how the core pillars connect to our happiness and well-being.

Spirituality: Spirituality provides a sense of purpose, meaning, and connection to something greater than ourselves. It’s how we understand our place in the world, and where we come face to face with mystery and wonder. Having a strong spiritual connection can strengthen our resilience during challenging times and act as a compass or guiding light. Spirituality - whatever that means for you - is our True North, our Wisest Self. Having a strong connection to our wisest, most loving self is essential in our quest for a more radiant, joyful life.

Self-Care: Self-care is essential for nurturing our mind, body, and spirit. By prioritizing self-care practices such as mindfulness, relaxation, and nourishing activities, we can replenish our energy, reduce stress, and cultivate a greater sense of balance and vitality in our lives. It acts as a foundation for happiness, allowing us to show up fully for ourselves and others, and to engage in activities that bring us joy and fulfilment.

Connections: Meaningful connections with ourself, loved ones, and the world around us are fundamental to human happiness. The data is clear on this. When we cultivate deep, authentic relationships and a sense of belonging, we experience greater levels of satisfaction, support, and fulfilment in our lives. In our modern world, we’ve become more isolated from each other. Being a part of something meaningful and connecting to our kindreds is how we heal ourselves and the planet, one step, one hug, one “I see you” at a time.

Creativity: Creativity is a sacred path that leads us back to our wisest self. What shows up for us on the canvas is a metaphor for life - patience, trust, perfectionism, doubt, play, and more. Creativity ignites joy, curiosity, and inspiration, opening the door to new possibilities and enriching the quality of life. It is the glue that keeps the universe spinning and the life force behind everything. Nurturing our creative nature is a big part of the Radical Joy Project.

By exploring and embracing these key concepts we can cultivate a holistic approach to happiness and fulfillment, nurturing our mind, body, and spirit in the process. These pillars serve as guideposts on the journey to our most vibrant life, offering pathways for growth, and supporting us as we deepen our practice.

QUIZ TIME

I’ve created a short quiz to determine where you are right now with the core concepts - self-care, spirituality, connection, and creativity. Knowing where you stand is valuable feedback. It will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Pour yourself a cuppa and see where you land.

journal prompts

It’s time to take pen to paper and do a little digging into the challenges you may face while trying to create change. Let’s face it, change is hard but knowing your roadblocks, challenges and brick walls is vital to your success. You got this my sisters!

NOTE: Please make sure to download the journal prompts to your computer. This allows you to fill out the journal on your device or print out the pages if you prefer to go that route.

Tag Series: Check out the video to see the art project we’ll be doing this month. Doing mixed media on small surfaces is a great way to practice our skills and not be so intimidated. It’s one of my all time favorite ways to play! When we’re through, we’ll have a stack of decorative tags to give away to friends, keep them for ourselves, or give to random strangers. Yay!!

final thoughts…

Knowing what you want, what you believe and that you're worthy of it all is the ultimate investment in your authentic life. It is why we have all come together in this magical pursuit, right? Taking the tiny pieces from here and there, adding in our dreams and wildest yearnings, weaving in our yeses and no’s, and turning them into a course of action is hard. Sometimes impossible. But the effort is worth it. We are worth it.

I leave you with this beautiful video reminding us to call that girl back. Credit to the amazing Christi Steyn who narrates this video and creates her own amazing poetry. Check her out on YouTube.
